This doesn't mean we don't care for the living history. In fact it's quite the contrary, where we take great pride in trying to recreate a fighting style of a particular period. GUILD MEMBERS are able to select from a broad time range of historical warrior types but many of us have developed a passion for the forgotten and courageous leper knights of St Lazarus.";}

No not at all, in fact we would argue that we combat in a much more authentic style than clubs that have their emphasis on other living history pursuits and sporting type clubs that use "flicky" type of blows. We allow our combatants a reasonable amount of lattitude in regards to footwear and gauntlets purely on the basis of safety. Each outfit should confine itself to the period it is approximating and reflect the best you can manage.";}

For interclub engagements we accept the AMC guidelines for combat as compiled by various hosts of past conventions, but will consider and observe the agreed rules of the day.

Your introduction to combat is carefully managed to ensure you can safely handle a weapon, turn the blade and pull your blows before allowing you to enter an open combat. We do wear armour and the weapons are blunt, however, all rules and safety regulations MUST be observed because the potenential for serious or permanent injury is very real.";}
